Simultaneous interpreting is a cognitive activity demanding as much if not more concentration and mental stamina than controlling air traffic or performing surgery. Don't believe it? It's not easy to simulate the experience, but imagine standing behind a red, a yellow and a blue bucket, and someone throwing blue, yellow and red balls to you in random order, about two a second, and you have to place them in the same colour bucket, and at the same time someone else is calling out arithmetic and general knowledge questions that you have to answer, or three words phrases which you have to repeat back in reverse order, and repeating these tasks for 30 minutes straight without missing a beat. Well, it's a little bit like that.
That's why there are always at least two of us "in the booth", headphones on and laser beam stares. Try to keep out of our way.
We can supply the interpreters and all the audiovisual equipment necessary for your conference or seminar.
